Biography

Jerzy Kosiński was born in Wrocław on January 19, 1955. You could say he is self-taught. He practices realistic painting. As he says about himself: "I paint what I see and I like." He developed his painting style through his own work, talent and passion for painting, and self-education. His works are full of warmth and realism. You could say "Painted with the heart".
 The themes of his paintings include landscapes, architecture, horses and, above all, forests, including birches and birch alleys - his favorite subject of works. He is a good copyist, his favorite paintings are the works of Wojciech and Jerzy Kossak and Ivan Szyszkin. He also paints portraits

Jerzy Kosiński about himself:
I feel that I have the "soul" of an artist, I have always liked beautiful views, colorful paintings and photographs. Visits to painting museums have always been a great experience for me.

I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. I owe this to my mother, who was the first to draw with me with crayons everything we wanted. The first media were, of course, colored pencils, then soft pencils of class 6B.

Then water paints, poster boards and tempera appeared. In retrospect, I must admit that education at 8-year primary school was something good in my painting education process. At school, there were art classes in each class at least once a week.

I have been painting with oil on the easel since I was 18. Then, for the first time in my life, I received a painting loom and a set of oil paints with brushes as a birthday present. Krosno was given to me by a good friend from high school who came from a family of artists. He knew I had a phobia of painting. Handing me the loom, he said:
"Jurek, I wanted to give you a painting, but you will paint a better and nicer one yourself."
